Improve Your Smile With Veneers
Smiling and laughing are a natural part of life. But if you have smile imperfections, you may be used to covering up your grin or hiding your smile. Fortunately, you don’t have to let dental flaws control your smile any longer.
At Dental Studios in Summit and Westfield, New Jersey, our dentists, Daniel Butensky, DMD, and Stephen T. Busby, DDS, use dental veneers to give our patients the smiles of their dreams. Here, we explain how effective veneers can be at improving your smile.
Veneers 101
Dental veneers are thin, custom-made shells designed to conceal the front surface of your teeth. Our dentists ensure a seamless look by fitting and binding each veneer to each individual tooth.
To begin the process, your provider removes some enamel on the outermost layer of your teeth, creating a space for the veneers. This allows the veneers to sit perfectly in your mouth, giving you a natural smile.
We then make a mold of your mouth so your veneers can be custom made just for your teeth. Veneers are typically created using either porcelain or resin composite materials.
When they’re ready, your Dental Studios provider fixes the veneers in place so you can talk, drink, eat, and laugh without worry. Dental veneers give you a bright, natural-looking smile you’ll be happy to let shine.
How dental veneers improve your smile
Many of our patients at Dental Studios have more than one aspect of their smile they’d like to improve, like tooth gaps and a dull appearance to their teeth. The good news is that dental veneers can address more than one problem at a time, including:
- Making chips and cracks disappear
- Erasing noticeable gaps and spaces
- Concealing difficult-to-treat stains
- Whitening your entire smile
- Hiding uneven teeth or teeth of different sizes
- Covering up previous dental work, like fillings
A full set of dental veneers can give you a uniform smile by covering teeth that are different colors or shapes.
Candidates for dental veneers
Safe and effective dental veneers are a good choice for many people who want to improve the appearance of their smile — especially if you have more than one issue you’d like to address.
While most people can get dental veneers, not everyone is a candidate. If you have active gum disease, teeth without enough dental enamel, or weakened teeth, you may need to discuss alternatives with your Dental Studios dentist.
Before recommending any treatment, we evaluate any current dental conditions and your dental history. We listen to your goals and work with you to create a personalized dental plan to help you get the smile you’ve been dreaming of.
